The geographical immensity of India with a limitless amount of variety makes it a mind-numbing task for tourists to decide as to what to let go and what to keep in. Quite interestingly, there is no specific region for finding hills in India as almost all the four geological directions of the country are an abode of some breathtaking hills. Hill stations of India are endowed with snowy peaks, verdant valleys, deep ravines, frothing rivers, misty forests, flower filled pastures and azure lakes. The tranquil hills in India are the perfect place to enjoy vacations. It is next to impossible listing the names of all the famous Indian hill stations. However, some of the most attractive hilly places in India are:

Lake View in Nainital
     Nainital: Nainital, situated in the northern Indian state of Uttaranchal, is one of the most attractive hill stations in India. This wonderful hill station was discovered by a Britisher P. Barron in 1839. Nainital is sprinkled with various scenic lakes, most remarkable of which is the Naini Lake. Nainital is named after this lake. Nainital is frequented by  tourists all the year round, due to the fascinating beauty of this hill station This place is excellent for adventures as well. Some of the tourist charms of this place are Naina Devi Temple, Naini Lake, Hanuman Garhi, Nanda Devi Fair and Snow View.

·       Shimla: Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. This beautiful place offers an amazing vacation experience, which is full of adventures, romance and absolute inner recreation. Because of its matchless beauty, Shimla remained the summer capital for the Britishers for more than 75 years. The hypnotizing hill station is located at an elevation of 2205 meters and has a population of around two lakh people. The fascinating place is engulfed with green meadows, snow capped peaks, thick forests and such conditions allure legions of travelers all the year round.
